Every year, thousands of hikers make their way NOBO on the Appalachian Trail starting at on the approach trail which begins at Amicalola Falls State Park in Georgia. During the first weekend of March, Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge will host the annual Appalachian Trail Kick Off where hundreds of hikers, cottage vendors,and speakers will gather for the event to share information on the trail along with other elements that will help those who attempt to hike the AT will be as prepared as poss
