The Pine Mountain Trail is 23 miles and located within the F.D.R. State Park In Georgia. The Pine Mountain Trail is an excellent place to thru hike and experience one of the best state parks in Georgia. The PMT FDR State Park is open year round and has several campsites along the trail which makes it possible for all skill levels to accomplish a section hike or full thru hike on the PMT. Reservations are required for each of the backcountry campsites.
The Pine Mountain Trail is a 23 mile long trail and is located in F.D.R. State Park In Georgia. Keep in mind, there are no shuttles so you will need to figure out logistics ahead of visiting the Pine Mountain Trail. In addition, you will need to reserve your campsites in advance. Plus, there is a $5 day parking pass you will need to pick up at the park office.
